View Full Version : Free food (almost)
Today I went and bought some food stuff at the supermarket. It cost €10.65 and I payed with two fives and a one. But for some reason I got my two fives and 35 cents in change. Which was nice.
And of course I didn't say anything.

what an asshole you are, cause the 10 bucks is probably gonna have to come out of that cashier's paycheck when he or she is short at the end of the shift. and anyone could have made that mistake. if you noticed, you should've said something.

You should ask the cashier out and pay for lunch.

Free food! Take that money fo'sho! Being stupid costs money as the cashier probably found out.

I said "thank you" and "goodbye".

Good thing I don't believe in karma then.

I don't think that they'll ask the cashier for the money. I worked in a supermarket for years throughout college and uni and if a till was slightly out, then they just write it off. If it happened regularly, then they'd probably speak to the individual.

what karma really means is that your results have consequences. in this case, quite likely the person at the checkout will get in shit.
you shouldn't have taken the money.

and maybe it was karma who made her give too much money because she deserved to be shit on while karma was rewarding Tal for a past good deed.

We're talking about 10 euro here. I don't think the world is going to collapse on TAL's head nor is the cashier's going to be fired.

When I worked in a retail environment it wasn't a big deal when your drawer was occasionally short. If it consistently happened... then you were in trouble, but most of the time it was an accident and businesses have to realize they're working with people who make mistakes. Cut my man TAL some slack.
In other news, when I used to get my groceries delivered they once brought me a bunch of extra stuff I didn't order. Including a 4 pack of mini-bottles of wine and a bunch of 7-Up (soda). That was awesome. If they brought me soda today though I don't know what I'd do with it... I don't drink soda anymore.

maybe he was her karma.
maybe she's a mindless forgetful careless twit who is always fucking the cash register up.
maybe HE was the lesson SHE needed to learn and not be such a retard?

I scored some real, legit free food today. The Tim Horton's (http://www.timhortons.com/) was promoting their new "snack wrapper" and they were giving them away (ranch or BBQ) from 11:30am until 2pm. It was great and a much needed snack right before I went to workout.
