hey all,
maybe i am blind but i found no note about this, neither in the forums nor on the page.
if this gets cleared/resolved, it should probably be sticky ; )
the basic question is this: are the a capella tracks creative common or similar?
http://creativecommons.org/
after i made a remix, can i ..
- put it on the beastie boys board?
- put it on the my website?
- put it on third parties websites that can handle more traffic (myspace / youtube / archive.org)?
- put it on CDs and give them away?
- play it in a dj set (maybe be listing the original so royalties could be collected)?
- play it in a live gig?
(all of these being non-commercial purposes)
AND
- how do i credit the beastie boys correctly?
i think this would be cool to know, even a general 'we don't care' would be a statement.
