I ate an apple on top of a truck filled with fish and mustard. the driver wore a hat made of straw, and listened to terrible music with his shirt untucked. we were on our way to los angeles and were hungry, but not hungry enough to eat the fish or the mustard. we had no matches, besides. my face burned hot in the july sun and sweat soaked my shirt. 5 more hours.
