saudi arabia lives under islamic law, right? is there something in the koran that grants the right to marry children? this may be a dumb question, but are they explicity given the right to have sex with them, or is it just (as thought just this is any better) marriage as a form of ownership but not inherently sex.

It may be ownership at age 8, but what about 12, 13, 14? After they have been "married" for 5 + years?

Should a 50+ year old be intimate with a teenager still?

What is even more disgusting is if this man divorces this child or dies, she becomes a pariah, she is considered "used" and will not be accepted by another man in her life and society will pretty much deject her as well.
