Can anyone identify this track? http://www.sendspace.com/file/n771db
(sorry about the poor quality)

It is sampled in these old tracks by Biz Markie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ9-F7dSH_c) and Stezo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Hf9sEWyCQ).

I think that's Spoonie Is Back by Spoonie Gee. I don't think the music at the beginning was sampled, but the other parts of it are from Funky President (James Brown).

Thanks guys for your input - really appreciated.

I had a quick listen to the Spoonie Gee track, but it doesn't seem to be it:

It was at the end of the Beastie's PB Show Vinyl. Prof D is hosting a 128kbps mp3 of it, but it's just labeled "Untitled."

Yeah it's Spoonie Gee, and the backing is taken or based on James Brown's Funky President.

Thanks for the MP3 - I had a listen and I can hear it now.
The thing that is a bit confusing though is on my source version around the 3 minute mark the crowd starts chanting "making money" and I didn't notice that on the Spoonie Is Back track.
There was an instrumental version of the track released on the SugarHill 12", so maybe they threw in some chants for the instrumental?

I got the answer...

"Making Cash Money" by Busy Bee.

It came out the year after Spoonie Is Back (on Sugarhill still) and they used the same backing track - but this is the version I was after as it has the "money" chants going on.

Thanks for your leads!
