Why?
That "stick in the mud" phrase is hundreds of years old, by the way. It's kind of stupid that you even think some shitty TV show would just invent an idiom.

I never did think such thing, i just like the expression and it was the first time i ever ear it while listening to Carnival.
BY the way, it is not a stupid show, you squarehead.
@Trailerprincess; It is worthy to buy the boxset in my opinion. I am at the 7episode/ season two and i do like it a lot. It seem to be some sort of a social critic this show, like when the preacher talk, even if he is on the side of the dark force, some things he saids are quite uptodate in our time. About the condition of the poor and the working labor. But mainly, the thing i like the most it is his surreal content and the evolution of the caracters.
I hear the set of carvival just bursted into flames some time ago, so that why it end so abruptly.
