Thanks, that is alot of archived stuff! Us old-timers have poor memories and enjoy some nostalgia
"The tour was previously postponed when a bicycle accident caused Beastie Boy Mike D a/k/a Michael Diamond to undergo surgical reconstruction of his right shoulder on Wednesday, Aug. 2nd. While the procedure, known as an AC joint reconstruction, was successful, Mike D was ordered by doctors to wear a sling on the reconstructed area for four to six weeks, with a prognosis that Mike would be fully healed in approximately three months.
All efforts were made to re-schedule the tour but were ultimately unsuccessful due to a confluence of prior commitments, holds, scheduling, the venues in question and numerous other factors. "

The Rhyme and Reason show tix was one of the first things that I ever bought online. Here's a scan of my ticket on beastiemania. (http://www.beastiemania.com/gigog/show.php?g=20000816)

i joined around the time of the sounds of science/anthology and mumia benefit... sometime in 2000 after the message board switched to similar to the current format, but took at least a year off before the crash of '04 where everyone had to re-register...
i remember when you could scroll over the album covers and they would play a snippet of each album...
Beastie Boys and their website have been on the cutting edge for some time now.
what's next?

I remember picking up the disk they were giving out at the '95 Quadrophonic tour. I popped it in my old computer with a 2400 bps modem and remember getting really frustrated.
I'm not sure if I ever made it to the listserv thing back then. I think I first started checking out the website and board during the pre-HN hype when I had a faster computer.

Just out of interest - that 'Mixer' feature on the current main page is fucking ace! Has that been done before by anyone?
