like people and their mac's.. especially with their macs... its worse than a car - the minute you take it out the box,
its worth half as much. why not throw some stickers or just write all over it? what.. you gonna sell it for 100bucks?
id rather throw some stickers on the bitch

you mean that clear plastic wrap that comes on shit like electronics & appliances?
That's a weird rant son. You've ranted before about obscure shit like this.
I dig it. (y)

haha.. whooo boy someone was a bit tipse last night

just generally when people are anal about new things

specifically when they dont take off all the packaging, like my dad will not take off the plastic from the screen of his gps. they make unobtrusive protective screens for this. the plastic that comes with it isnt supposed to stay on, its all loose and forms bubbles and shit.. it can kind of get in the way of enjoying the product completely.. yet if i were to take it off he'd get mad

yeah, some people keep the plastic that comes on electronics screens on it.. thats the worst

yeah thats stupid. kinda like how people leave tags on stuff and stickers on their hats. i see some people keep the tags that come with their guitar, wtf

right? its fucking annoying

for some people like my dad its about keeping it new and shit - just because

for other people, like my drunky mac/powerbook example, i think its that they expect to sell it later on.. but whenthefuck is that gonna happen. by the time you want to sell it because you want a better one, its not gonna be worth anything. you coulda put a few scratches on it and it would be worth a dollar less

yeah, I don't get that stuff. peeling the plastic off is one of my favorite things to do!

I don't like it when people don't cut the threads that hold the bottom vents of their jackets together. it's just a stitch to hold the folds so they travel well and keep their shape when they're in the store...but when you actually wear it, you're supposed to have the vent loose so it can do it's job. keeping the vent stitched just ruins the silhouette! aagh!

I also hate it when people leave the stickers on items that are obviously meant only to be of use when the model is used as a display in-store like at Wal-Mart or something.

Seriously, do you need that sticker on there telling you the features of the item you just bought? I would hope that after a while you are capable of remembering the functions the thing you paid money for is capable of. Especially on, like, bikes and shit - "10 PROGRESSIVE gears!".

Give me some slack, dude.

Fitted hats (Era 59 Brand specifically)

Douchebags in the city wear their fitted hats with the sticker still on them.

I don't care about your size 7 domepiece!

or your color coordinated sneakers...

the board-straight brim on baseball hats combined with wearing a hat too big for your head and tucking the ears in : baseball bat >> legs

plastic on the furniture.. i have no idea how anyone could like that. i remember someone who had that, it was awful being over there in the summer

I've kept the plastic on the screen on my integrated amp for my stereo, but only because its a Linn Majik and it holds its resale value very well in the second hand market, and I plan to sell it one day when I upgrade. That little bit of plastic could get me an extra 50 bucks!
