total badass @ 23 seconds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXFv6nhRvjU)
i also post on the godsmack forums (http://godsmack.groupee.net/groupee)
I saw them open for Metallica once.
They weren't bad, but they weren't Metallica. Whoever their frontman is kept yelling at the stadium to "STAND UP MOTHERFUCKERS."
I think Godsmack is probably in the 90th percentile for 'groups whose logo I had tattooed to myself and now regret.'
I only listen to Godsmack when I'm maxin' out in the weight room.

when I first heard them, I was thinking, "what the hell is Alice in Chains doing?"
then I realized it wasn't them.

no, they're wicca.
The christian band is the one that sounded like Pearl Jam.

the only song I like of theirs is Down With the Sickness, and I liked it better when Richard Cheese covered it.

Ha ha. These guys are from my home town. In 1998, when I was a senior in high school, there was a show in one of the town middle schools in this tiny little theater. Just Godsmack. No opening bands. I think it was a "congrats on getting signed show" or something.
It was heavily advertised in my high school. None of us had ever heard of these guys, but we figured "eh, what the hell?'
Short story shorter. They sucked. But I bought the album anyways and had them sign it.(n)

Rock. Is. Over.
I had someone tell me the other day that the only thing good in rock right now is Alter Bridge and Audioslave. Made me laugh, cry, and then vomit a little.
