uhhh secession? (http://amfix.blogs.cnn.com/2009/04/21/ron-paul-secession-is-american/)
he out rightly says its that the talk is not that serious. but still, like seriously? not even 100 days of obama into office and some people are talking secession.
i didn't hear any of this when from the state of texas and others when bush was in office. and he was fucking everything up.
some people are just really sore losers these days.

Hate to say it, but I called it.
The still very alive racist underbelly of America is bubling to the surface, social acceptance be damned.
So they hold teaparties (which any taxes paid last week were based on Bush taxes...) as an excuse to parade out wingnut posters and sayings, some with strong racist overtones.
They talk sucession from the union (good riddance)
They talk about the death of America and initiatives and socialism.
Anything to give them excuse to call out Obama, and some of the shit they accuse him for either hasn't happened, or even been implied. But the Faux News fans seem ennamored with the talking points and repeat them as if they were gospel without question. (RE: Facism good, Socialism bad)
We're only 100 days in kids, this is gonna get ugly...

Ron Paul is an attention whore, if ever a politician was against spending a penny on social programs, infrastructure and health care this is the politician.
This amounts to someone who has decided to not help solve any of the real problems in America today. He figures that becoming a Country unto itself, Texas will prosper and never have to depend on the Big Bad USA for anything, like border patrol and military assistance. All of that will be taken care of by Texas' bustling economy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas#Economy).
Now that it's come down to the fact that in order to make our Country, The United States of America work, we will all have to pull together and make some sacrifice. Most dickheaded asshats don't like the idea of sacrifice or helping others out, unless it's a tax break or it's done on their own terms.
Ron Paul is a dick and the sad part is he's in the House of Representatives.
i bashed ron paul quite a bit last year, but at least ron paul isn't a warmongering, pro-torture neo-con maniac. it would be a lot easier, and a lot of progress could be made in washington if instead of the mouthbreathing republicans in the house and senate, you had libertarians like ron paul instead. that way, a lot of progress could be made on climate change, restoring the constitution and the rule of law, and ending american empire (hundreds of bases, hundreds of thousands of troops around the world, costing at least nearly a trillion dollars annualy to maintain) could be made.
anyways, all of this talk of secession just goes to show how crazy the right-wing and republicans are now. texas governor rick perry is the biggest moron ever, talking about secession (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/texassouthwest/stories/DN-perry_17tex.ART.State.Edition1.4abd30a.html), but now due to the swine flu outbreak, he is asking the federal government (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/26/rick-perry-after-secessio_n_191521.html) for help.

I'm not saying I disagree with anything you said, but as a resident of the great state of Nevada, there's a good chance you'd be a part of said theoretical secession.
Nevada is home to plenty of "good ol' boys", no?

No, thankfully the money and power is here in Vegas and everyone knows it's a good thing the casinos pay taxes. Because without taxes this state has nothing really going for it.
The problem here is the rich white people that came here 20-30 years ago bought tracts of desert for pennies and sold it back to the state and casinos for hundreds and thousands per square foot don't like paying taxes on their (ill gotten) gains.
But they're also far too lazy to seceed, they'll piss and moan a bit, and might take a break in their afternoon session of golf to stand in the street. But they know if somehow Nevada seceeded, the mob would be back and they'd be buried in the desert.
