I am. I'm constantly getting surprised. I'm always jumping at scary movies, even when I'm expecting something to happen. once I got scared when they turned the lights on in the movie theater after I saw a scary movie. today, I walked through a doorway not expecting someone to be walking out of it, but someone did and I jumped and yelped. luckily it was amusing to the other person.
I wonder what that means.
I also laugh really hard and uncontrollably when I find something funny. I mean, reallly funny. sometimes it seems totally random. I saw this comedian the other day telling jokes that were semi-funny, but in one of them he said something about stealing pies off of window sills and for some reason it made me guffaw loudly then descend into giggles that would not go away...but nobody else in the place though it was nearly as funny as I did. goodness! again, luckily most people found it amusing that I was amused.

i jump but im not scared. that's the only way i can explain it. i get startled but keep a straight face. my body just lurches.
surely that can't be good for your heart.
I'm in a constant state of mundaneness, I'm not easily scared. Except for heights recently - which I never used to be. I jumped out of a plane years ago but I was at my brothers flat other day on the balcony and was a little 'woah' and that is not that high even.

I am sometimes.I'm ticklish too which is annoying. If something is really funny I'll laugh out loud too so this is why I should be employed by makers of comedy films or TV shows to say if it's Funny or shit.
There's this UK sitcom called 'My Family' and fuck me if it's the most unfunny load of crap from a donkey with rabies
I am far too ticklish - I fucking hate it. When girlfriends in the past have pushed me so far I get pissed off at it, I swear it'd the only time I'd consider domestic violence*
Do you know they** used to use tickling as a torture back in the day***
*j/k, I'd consider it any time
**as always, whoever they are
***and when even then is

yeah.ticklers should be rounded up and sent to tickle island where they can tickle each other instead of annoying decent people like myself and camo who just want a peaceful non-tickle life.
Also ban MR Tickle books from the MR MEN series although I used to like drawing his long arms on school books

Yep, really easily startled. People at work forget I have my ipod on all day and just come up behind me and make me jump

ditto. perfect explanation.

I am. And if someone startles me from behind (trying to find a better way of putting that...) i have this involuntary reaction where, as i spin round, i will slap them. Not across the face or anything, just a slap on the upper arm.
I can't help it!
Someone dressed as a "spooky" bell boy on the ghost train at Alton Towers spooked me and i screamed and slapped him. Much to the amusement of a bunch of kids nearby.

i'm startled easily. sometimes i'll be in the shower and my husband will come into the bathroom for something and just the sound of the door will scare me. then he'll say something like "who else did you think it was?" or some sarcastic shit.
to me, i think i get startled easy b/c i zone out or concentrate hard, depending on the situation.

hahaha! That's reminds me of Halloween - I opened the door knowing it was a trick or treater and I still screamed like a baby at an 8 year old in a Scream mask

i'm startled so easily it should probably be considered a disability. nobody can sneak up on me from behind, or even the side. i cannot and will not watch a scary movie because i will probably have a heart attack.

i drift off into my own world a lot, so my housemates are always startling me by doing things like... coming home from work. if i'm not facing someone when they approach me i am always startled.
