Seriously though, tell your friend or whoever to shut up, because it's so much easier getting over something when you're oblivious. I was with my ex for so long and have heaps of mutual friends but it takes me ten steps back when one of them opens up their fat yap about what my ex is up to/has said - you start making life comparisons and it just feeds any sort of residual anger, anxiety and sadness you might have over the whole thing.

It hurts just as much to be told you're "it" - just not now. You shouldn't let another person dictate your happiness.
