I met them on two occassions in NYC ... and I use the term "met" loosely ...

I saw all 3 outside the supper club late 90's after they were honored & I was star struck ... felt like mike d made extra attempt to be nice ! appreciated

I saw adrock in XLARGE in manhattan day after thanksgiving like 2 years later he was with his girl.

I met Rickey Powell in Beauty Bar & spoke with him for a long while and he smoked me up ! ! ! ! ! ! ! - He was so awesome - but wish i wasn't drunk that night. ( I had drank an unusual large amount of vodka at a dinner party before hand )

**Mike D & fam. lived in the same apartment building as my Brother !!!! - yes I picked the doorman ( Joe's ) brain because he had some good stories such as getting knicks tickets from Mike D etc ....

lol, its in Sure Shots somewhere from back in 2004...but it was only a brief meet backstage in London, spent more time with MMM and Alfredo to be honest, oh and Talib Kweli.

He was the support act for them on the TT5B tour, he stood with us while the Beasties were on stage. MMM and Alfredo were with us watching Talib. We watched the show from the side of the stage, no security barriers so we were able to lean on the stage when they were on...cool!

I met each of them in a large backstage area at a 1992 show in RI. AWOL was there, Money Mark, Ricky, L7 (openers), and Ad-Rock's dad, Israel Horovitz, who I recognized so I approached him to try to get in good with Adam, but no dice. He just stared at me. There was some open fan mail sitting on the buffet table, which I read. It was from a girl and she'd taped a bunch of pics of herself scattered around the note. She talked about how much they meant to her. I showed Mike D a sticker I'd made of a pic of him (from the So What'Cha Want single) with the words "50 Million Mike D fans can't be wrong" on it. He liked it, sort of. Yauch was bugging out at the stack of L7 shirts on a table - the shirt showed a dominatrix-type sticking another girl's face in her crotch. He was laughing asking around if he could have one. I finally went up to Ad-Rock at one point and told him how important they were to me, and after he let me babble for a bit, he said "Thanks man, but I'm with my family right now." Four of my friends were also there, we shared stories after. One dude claimed he smoked up with Ad-Rock, but I've never totally believed him.

Met Money Mark at Sasquatch 2 years ago- not your typical meet- Mark was trying to keep the peace as my friends were instigating a riot with security at the main gate. Very nice of him. Think I posted about this when it happened. Super cool guy.

I met Yauch after sneaking backsatge at a show at the Velodrome in Carson CA in '95. I gave him a handshahe, told him he was the reason I picked up a bass. He shyly smiled...

I've met Money Mark a few times, first time was at an in-store in Long Beach, CA . I asked him where in Gardena he was from (coz I grew up right next to Gardena) and he was like, "I'm from Detroit..." Then I gabbed with him a bit before the Gala event Show at the Wiltern last year, and he was real cool. I have a friend that hung with them at Sundace and said Adrock was cool, but they all demanded that their bottled water had no label on it.

met Yauch at the Gunnin' For that #1 Spot premiere after-party in Harlem about a year ago. i was talking to one dude, turned around and saw someone else was just walking away from talking to him and approached. i asked him a couple questions i had about the movie and wished him luck. i stuttered asking my first question. he was really chill and down to earth.
