RALEIGH Federal investigators are sifting through the records of money that helped John Edwards' presidential campaign to determine if any was used to keep quiet his affair with Rielle Hunter.

“I am confident that no funds from my campaign were used improperly,” Edwards said in a statement.

Wow how embarassing. I guess this should be done, Will all the juicey details come out? And how much taxpayer money will be wasted on this investigation?

I guess covering up an affair is more important than torture :rolleyes:

It is a bit outrageous but could be considered fraudulent (using the campaign money to bribe people). That I understand.

But yeah.....how many millions and man hours will be wasted as for what the article said as "Finding a needle in a haystack"

if they're going to investigate edwards, why not giuliani too, who wasted tax payer money on having the nypd chaffeur his mistress around.

who cares if politicians sleep around, their private lives aren't important if their flings aren't effecting their ability to do the job they were elected to do.
