I decided to join up on this here board. I just now noticed my join date and remember it as if it were yesterday. Damn does time fly.

I haven't really changed, still the same person that makes a thread and watches it sink. Not really a thread killer anymore.

About the most exciting threads I make are about my marriage complications but I knew those would happen, we're from different worlds and I always let her read them to understand a westerner POV.

I hope I make people laugh still, or at least chuckle. It's my primary goal. Secondary would be to try and give advice.

And I'll be damned, my watch battery died today and I bought my watch around the same time I joined the board.

A dude in the toilet cubicle next to me at work miscounted his 'transits' (door opening and closing + footstep monitoring) and started tugging away at his dick thinking the room was empty. I farted real loud, and I think he stopped to smell it.

Ericlee, your main legacy (IMO) on this board is the countless gems added to the Genius Thread (II) and you're unfaultering love for baseball caps with the peak bent RIGHT around!

So, yeah...I laugh (y)

I've been here for almost 11 years. I can't decide if it's really sad or really awesome, or sadly awesome, or awesomely sad. when I joined alot of the people on here were literally kids. and I was in my early 20's.

I was one of those kids - well 19. Now I am nearer 30 than 25 - well 28.

I count 19 year olds as kids these days, I'd be kinda offended if I was called a kid at 19 but it'd of been true. Ahhhh, the good old days.

5 years ago; you could get a loan, walk out of one job into the next, the biggest threat to humanity being will oil go above $25 a barrel and where to put all the stuff we buy. Look at us now! I'm not saying its cus we have a black president either!

A good majority of those pics came from ebaumsworld, I joined there but I couldn't care less about their racist "humor" so I don't mind filtering through their pics and post the good ones here. The other pics are just from looking around the net.

Baseball caps- you don't find many people my age wearing them flat billed with the sticker on. Even if I was at a young age with this trend, I wouldn't wear it that way. My eyes are sensitive to sunlight and I wouldn't appreciate chasing my hat around after a gust of wind.

I'm on the phone typing this so I'm not bothering quoting everyone but, skra, I wouldn't feel bad about joining at 20. It's not like the beasties were as young as hanson when you joined. I was a fan of them when I was 14 so it's understandable that there's a younger group of posters here.

Adam- good points

Kid P- still laughing. Also I was in the sand 5 years ago and couldn't toke up. Now I'll have a little here and there.

I wear the peak flat and I'm 28 :D

I have the same problems with my eyes too, that why I wear a cap a lot when I'm out. I aslo get a lot of bother from spotlights or any other direct lighting (n)

5 years ago I lived with my best friend and partied a lot. I hated my job. and I had a car, was in a band, and had a boyfriend I thought I'd marry (glad I didn't, he's a nice guy and we're still friends, but eesh, is he ever annoying).

I think I still had dial up internet.

within the span of 5 years, many people have done great contributions to this board. God bless the sure shots, *cough cough* hacks out a hairball, dammit, knuckles! Shave those bastards!

Not just the photochops done by everyone here but the fam album for one will cure a bad mood if you're in one. Just seeing that everyone is ok and grinnin' should lift anyone's spirits up. Yeah, some heated discussions happen there but you're still alive and having the feeling of disagreement but that's not a bad thing. I would really, really, hate to meet the same asshole who totally agrees with me upon everything, even to how many squares I use to make sure I don't leave any cliffhangers.

No matter how many arguments people get into, there's a pic posted of them having a good time.

The fashion thread is forbidden at my casa though.. If I were to let her see all the great material, we'd probably go bankrupt within a week. There's so many purses collecting here that the only space there is, is the stairs and soon, I'll have to post guard.

People not being afraid of who they are is the main. That's why bf rules so much.

I think you are cool, eric. And not just because you were military. You seem to have a good outlook on life and are pretty laid back about things. Here's to another 5!

ericlee

military was a long time ago, as well as the duties that pertained to it afterward.

I'm done with it but it's always good to keep the right frame of it in mind if crap happens.

Learning music has been on the backboard for years and years, being a tuff guy has overtaken it all so..

If anyone wants to join now, it could be acceptable. Someone new to serve under, maybe he's doing the right thing but if he wants to help the economy, maybe he shouldn't concentrate putting more troops in Afg and shit. Yeah, that's not increasing the budget and all...

I think I'm going to have Kid P record one of his wank disruptive farts so I can sample it on a new track.

I'm so happy to look back 5 years ago and realize how insanely happier I am now. I've done a TON of personal growth since then. I owe a lot of it to this board.

I'll never forget the night I signed up... I was working late, had the local hip hop station bumpin in the office... and 'Ch Check it out' came on. I'z like 'omfg it's THEM!' and ran to beastiegoodness.com and the rest is history.
