Favre told Vikings coach Brad Childress he's staying retired, presumably so John Madden (also retired) and him can drive around the country looking for the Brett Favre of pancake houses.
Fuck Brett Favre. I lost all respect for him when he went to the Jets and even the rumors of his return this time is too much for me. I'm glad he's staying retired.

What's your problem? Let's examine the situation, shall we? An aged future Hall of Fame quarterback feels pressure from the organization he's won a championship for in order to make room for a guy they put a ton of money into a few years ago. It's simple (and much like the Foote/Timmons ordeal), no team wants to pay a guy millions of dollars to hold a clipboard for an extended period of time. Favre never wanted to retire. The guy did what he could to get out of Green Bay and play football without any hassle. If anyone's in the wrong, it's the Packers for drafting Rodgers when Brett still had years in the tank or the media for making this story so unbelievably drawn out and retarded.

Farve Schmarve.
I used to like to play 'count the Farve jerseys' when I'd go home to Wisconsin in church on Sunday morning. Hilarious.
