I'm so excited! Droppin' and I are moving back to DC for a few months this summer. He got a sweet-ass internship at the Smithsonian and I'm volunteering for another museum's library. It'll be nice to go home, just for a bit.

What's everyone else up to?

Wow...that's awesome, I'm sure you both are really excited. Summer plans for me include more weddings, Cubs games, beer gardens, alfresco dinning, New Orleands, New York ....and just a whole lot of beach time.

I really am looking forward for the weather to be more consistant.

my fiance is home for the whole summer (yay!)

lots of trips to the farmer's market/day trips.
maybe a 4-5 day camping trip.
hopefully a folk fest or two.
couple trips to the big city to visit his siblings/friends.
potentially accompanying him on a drive across Canada at the end of the summer when he heads back to the east coast.

probably the standard vacations- handful of concerts and a week at the beach.

plus loads of new found yard work, fixing all the shit that the old lady neglected the past couple years

re: summer.
don't have anything much concrete planned apart from amsterdam for my birthday in july.

i do intend to enjoy my first summer in bristol though. so much stuff on - little music, theatre, film and food festivals, days out to be had, cycle routes to be cycled. stuff like that.

it's going to be friggin' hot, i know that at least. as long as i can drink some beer in a beer garden, ride my bike and have a couple of bbqs, i'm happy.

Is that for a weekend or an entire summer?

campin', bbq's, beach time, 30th birthday extravaganza.

I've also decided to take a flight lesson. and if I like it and I'm good at it, I might pursue being a pilot.

its getting more wintery here by the day and all the dry brown grass is starting to greenify. I love winter. it means I can wear nothing but a slanket for days at a time.

Due to post-wedding financial meltdown I won't be taking any trips or doing anything major. Hopefully some bonfires at the beach, hiking, that kind of stuff. I'm looking forward to a relatively relaxing, quiet summer.

I'm counting the end of this month as summer :P

A trip to Seattle at the end of the month, then San Diego in early June to visit friends and family for a few days. Then I just plan on being around the bay and just enjoying it.

I might end up in Vegas come August for a bachelor/ette party (it's combined, they want everyone together to have fun) but it's TBD.

It was in the 70s last week, it snowed the past two days (didn't stick) and will go back up to the 70s by the end of the week.

I hate prairie weather.

Work, then more work to pay bills for my February and April vacations to Sunny California where the weather agreed on both trips.

Only one trip for sure and that is to to the Oregon Coast mid-August for 5 days 4 nights.

I've been to half a dozen concerts this year including an Springsteen Aprils Fools day show in San Jose where I got to sit on the camera platform 25 feet from the stage due to my brother was the camera man. That was cool enough to last the summer I guess. All other shows will be on a cheddar available basis only.

Since the cash is low I've been riding my bicycle daily so I'll be pedaling all over Seattle like I already have been, which is sort of supercool beyond what you'd think.

All the rest of summer will be work, gardening, work, eating cheap, work and more work.

Seattle is the greatest town to be in during summer so it's gonna be awesome.
