I found this at a garage sale years ago, I was so pumped. I brought i home and popped it in the deck and was pretty bummed out. There is a fuzzy tone all throughout the entire recording. My question for you folk is this: Does anyone know of a program for Mac that'll automate a removal of this noise? Or a plugin that'll work with Pro-Tools M-Powered. I'd love to get this thing on my ipod and would be happy to share if someone could provide an answer. Lemme know.

I doubt it, because loading it into pro-tools will turn it into one track. Meaning the vocals/bass/drums/guitars/crowd noise will all be the same. Doing something to alter the sound of one thing will alter the sound of everything.

Most recording software has a plug-in for hiss reduction. There are also plug-ins you can buy for hiss reduction, etc. What it comes down to is eqing out the offending frequency. It will also take out some of the good sound in the same frequency but sometimes the overall result is better with the eq, even though you loose some sound quality. You just have to experiment to see if the EQing is helping or hurting the overall mix.
