yeah, you just have to eye-ball everything.

we use it on steaks, ribs, chicken wings etc. Its my mom concoction and she has been using it forever.

heinz-57 tastes good when you add it too!

and when I said vinegar you can use any form of acid really, lemon/lime juice works well too depending on the taste you want.

Ive seen them make cooked bbq sauces on tv shows but that seems like too much extra work, I like this cause its just tossing shit into a bowl and you are done.

I only ever make enough to marinade/brush with for one meal.

it's so easy to make that it's no biggie making it fresh each time you bbq.

Id start with the ketchup (however much you think you will need) and then you add the soya until it's get runny enough to be spreadable. then add your sugar (amount depends again) and then the rest of the ingredients.

you can leave out the salt if you are the type that thinks salt makes the juices run out of your steak but obviously store bought bbq sauces already have salt in them so I wouldn't worry about it.
I would choose seasoning salt over plain sea salt too, personally.

Fuuuuuuuuck! How could I forget!! Love that shit. It's so convenient, too. Buy a jar, dip your dick in it, and head to Climax.

Oh, dude, I just noticed you said up near State College. There's one on Route 22 (the road with maybe 3 strip clubs and 5 Adult Book Stores) near Delmont as well.....so you probably won't get my Climax joke.

Had a BBQ at my house yesterday and experimented with a dry rub for the first time on the chicken and baby backs.

So much easier to work with. No chance of it burning like there is with sauce.
Also the flavor was much better. Not too sweet or too spicy.

Had my sauce on some t-bones that I marinated in a bag for about 6ish hours.

unbelievable like always. This time I added some hot Hungarian paprika (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51YSV9E79PL._SL500_AA280_PIbundle-6,TopRight,0,0_AA280_SH20_.jpg) and it was a hit.
