Anyone ever check out the back of Sly & the Family Stone’s There’s a Riot Goin’ On and then take a look at the back of Check Your Head. Interesting.

now, the jury is still out on whether the To The 5 Boroughs font was inspired from this album title:

it's hard to say. I have seen the TT5B font everywhere. It's pretty common.

it is now. do you recall seeing it pre-2004 though? I work with magazines and books, and although I'm no expert, I didn't really see it before 2004. I dunno but I think it's another one of those cases where the Beasties were at the forefront of fashion/culture.
