Did anyone make it to Coachella? I heard somebody got tazed like crazy for not putting their clothes on or something... oh what about that insane police brutality video that came out this morning?? oh and i'm officially off topic... anyways, I'm trying to make it to atleast a festival or two this summer, and I know there should be some good ones. Bonnaroo looks pretty good with Band of Horses, Bon Iver, and The Decemberists. Anyone going to Bonnaroo or know some other good music joints?

Yeah the wizard video is quite odd. I doubt he was just drunk. He wasn't violent, just out of it.

The fucker who puts his knee forcefully into the guys chest is another excellent example of police brutality. fuck that pig.

These festivals need mental health professionals to respond to these situations with the obviously under trained rent a cops.

who was this guy hurting? he was more of a threat to himself and definitely embarrassing himself.

I felt really bad for that Wizard. His penis resembled an acorn. Poor chap.

i'll be at bonnaroo again, should be solid. hope to check out a whole host of new bands. might actually skip over the galactic set just to see a few others....bunch of touch calls really

i've also been entertaining heading to the all good festival, since the price isnt bad, and its close enough i could go without missing extra work days

The Lollapalooza lineup is wicked good. It's comparable to this year's Bonnaroo lineup (better, if you ask me). Bonnaroo is unlike any other festival that I've been to, though. I went in 2005 and 2006. The lineups were rad both years, and it's worth it to go even just for the experience. I've never been to Lolla but I've heard it's a cluster fuck, so I'm on the fence about dropping the $300 to go.

I just bought my tickets to Pitchfork Fest (http://www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com/) and I'm fucking geeked. Built to Spill? Yo La Tengo? Blitzen Trapper? Yes, please. (y)

i think the hardest part about lollapalooza is the fact that you pretty much have to get a couple nights at a hotel, which adds to the cost. although, i could probably get the hookup and avoid all that....

pitchfork does look pretty rad though (y)

getting excited here though. leave next week for bonnaroo. still have no idea what sets i'm going to end up seeing for most of the weekend.

Yeah Lolla pretty much requires a couch-surfing type of setup. I would never be able to justify paying for a 3-day pass AND lodging. That's truly outrageous.

I think I'm gonna end up going to Rothbury, which should be really awesome.

but the Bruce/Phish thing from Bonnaroo would make it worth my while, it's this weekend right?

If Blitzen Trapper and Grizzly Bear play at the same time, I'm not going to know what the hell to do with myself and might resort to sobbing as a result of indecision and panic. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

I'm not all that impressed with the All Good lineup this year. Yonder Mountain String Band is fun. Ween played that festival a few times, I believe. I should've gone when they did. Fuck.

I was there the last time they were. That was the last time I ate shrooms. Unbelievable show.

well for me, i really like a couple of the groups performing, but the rest i am pretty indifferent. so i look down the day and think about half the time i will enjoy, the rest who knows.

plus, its so close to me, especially compared to bonnaroo, that there is no effort needed as far as transportation coordination
