View Full Version : fresh fruit and vegetables are a pain in the ass
i know how healthy they are and i try to eat them but jesus christ, you have to buy them every 2 or 3 days or else they go bad. no time for that
if they could make some kind of canned version of fresh produce with an infinite shelf life but with all the qualities of proper fresh food i'd be indebted to the person or people who made that thing
We have frozen veg that you can steam in the microwave here in the UK, it's quite nice too.

If you put bananas in a brown paper bag, they stay green for longer.

frozen is the way to go dude. or like, buy a bunch of broccoli, wash and cut it up and eat some, bag some and put it in the fridge, then bag the rest and put it in the freezer.
that's what I do!
otherwise, yeah, vegetables are annoying.
really? i can get romaine lettuce that lasts at least a week, ditto apples and bananas.

Eat more fruit and vegetables, or buy less.

I feel your pain! Especially with veggies.
Frozen, as others have said, is really the only way to go if you have this problem regularly.

I get way too excited when buying fresh fruits/veggies and always buy waaaaaaaaaay too much.
it's a bad habit.

I can't eat fruit unless it's cold. I always put all my fruit and veggies in the fridge.
Maybe that's why I rarely ever have to throw things out.

this is where a juicer comes in handy
also, baby carrots are a rip off
Blend up all of the nearly gone off veg into a soup.
Blend up all of the nearly gone off fruit into a smoothy.
