This is an album that dropped a couple of years ago, and I don't know if any of y'all heard it. I did a forum search, and it didn't turn up.

Anyways, this is a "beat tape" (as he calls them) by a producer from the L.A. area, named Dert (who goes by the name "Dert Floyd" on this project). He's a solo artist, and also is one of the members of the hip-hop collective known as "Tunnel Rats".

This project (as the title alludes to) is a Pink Floyd "mashup". This is the music of Pink Floyd turned into hip-hop beats. It's really flippin' fresh! I'm listening to it right now. This is an album I've listened to a lot, since it dropped. Oh, and the album cover is really dope too. It especially makes me wish that this had been pressed up on CD.

Dert put this out there for free download, like he does with most of his beat tapes. Note: he didn't name the songs. They're listed as Track 1, Track 2, etc..:

If y'all are feelin' this, and want more Dert beat tape links, holla. He also put out a Bjork mashup album, titled "Talk Strange: A Beat Tape Inspired By Bjork". Dert's working on another Pink Floyd mashup album, tentatively titled "Dert Floyd 2". No release date on that right now.
