A soul/jazz type band has done an album of Wu-Tang instrumental covers in a jazzy/soul/funk style...i just got it. Great stuff, recommended.

Anyone else heard it?

yes it rules.

it sure does.

although I hate when people say "its the soundtrack to the summer!" it might just be my soundtrack to the summer.

good stuff.

couple of the tracks they did with some of the wu for a free XM concert are basically the same as they did them for the album. which is only bad because i had heard them previously.

but overall its cool with me.

I dl'd this because of this thread.
Kinda reminds me of what the Beasties did with the Gala Event shows last year.

I think the novelty has worn off a little for me. Not to say that they aren't good, because they obviously do this shit very well. I bought their first album when it came out, and thought it was really good. But yeah, the replay value with these covers is kinda hindered by the fact that you could be hearing the songs with the actual vocals instead. I listened to 37th Chamber once through, but haven't really had the urge to since.
