My boss is an asshole. I like my job, but can't stand the people. (And why are the gossipy types always fat twats?) I gag every morning while getting ready for work. It sucks.

Right. So how many days missed would warrant "fired" -BUT- just cause to receive unemployment from being "sick"? It'd work if we had a structured enviorment- "Okay Sarah, you have x amount of sick days", verbal, written, etc. warnings and the like, but because this place is so corrupt, that shit don't exist.


So, from personal experience(s)... How'd you play?

I'm sorry that I have no personal experience with it but I can suggest this.

Every company has policies which should be written down somewhere, ask for them and review it thoroughly and once you're done with it, make sure that whatever you do, don't go against them.

Don't disobey any direct orders if they're written in the policies. You won't get unemployment if you're in the wrong.

Boss has said some things borderline sexual harassment, though. I've been jotting them down every chance I get 'cause I actually want to take the company to court for various other reasons (like the time he screamed and pointed his finger in my face- dude was so angry he was SPITTING into my coffee- and all because of the fat gossipy twat and me being sick of her drama/surfing MySpace all day/laziness). That shit wouldn't fly in a corp setting. Like I said- no structure (so the policies are real vague and to get an answer through HR is like pulling teeth/big fucking joke).
