Altadis owns a major chunk of the cigar business on the planet earth, plus the rights to major Cuban cigar brand names Cohiba, Monte Cristo, Partagas, and a slew of others. I have about 300 cigars in a humidor now (I usually smoke about a dozen a year) from a earlier obsession with hand rolled cigars. Hav-a-Tampa are dry cured pieces of crap that nobody with any common sense smokes anymore. They suck.

Altadis which also owns the #1 online and international cigar distribution outlets on planet earth knows this.

The dry cured cigars are probably being targeted more for the content (nicotine delivery system enhancements) which is why they are being taxed out of business. I don't agree with the tobacco bill or any of the past bullshit outside of the actual warnings on packaging.

But Altadis Inc. will survive like a mofo and are blaming the government when actually it's more of a market trend than a tax problem.

Dorothy Wood is more than half right.
