Is it your policy kill on site and/or search and destroy?...or do you transport/remove the bugs to outdoors?...See I think any biting bug should be destroyed…particularly mosquitoes, blackfly’s,horsefly’s and hornets…I have a frail truce with wasps and grant full amnesty to bumble/honey bees because they are awesome to me…the bit of Buddha in me has me transporting spiders or beetles out of my place with a pint glass and paper technique…my girl, however, runs for a Kleenex and squishes on site…this is appoint of contention for us…and cockrocahes!...I couldn’t imagine living with them…skittering, nocturnal, nuclear proof, filth loving and nasty…do you have bugs?

kill on sight. when they evolve the common sense to stay the fuck away from me we won't have a problem

I kill on sight. If it takes a hunt, I don't give up. And I try to avoid telling anyone else until after I kill it. I don't need my boyfriend screaming on the kitchen chair to distract me. Small bugs I kill with my fists, especially if they're in my car. With larger bugs I like a paper towel so I can feel their exoskeletons being crushed. With a newspaper or magazine, you can't get a confirmed kill as well. This is all only when I'm in an enclosed area, of course. Out of doors is free territory for all, unless one creeps onto my body or lawn chair while I'm reposing. Then I flick them and leave them for injured. Their body will feed the others.

I am terrified of insects but these days I feel less inclined to kill on sight. I guess I just feel like they deserve their shot, most of them only live for a couple of days. And they have their place in the circle of life. Even if they're in my house I usually just avoid contact and hope they go away. It's a pain in the ass when I'm in the shower and there's one on the ceiling or wall. Have you ever tried to wash your hair while squashing yourself up against the shower door and whimpering pathetically?

most likely i kill em. it will usually be by a smack of my hand. there are some exceptions, like if i actually saw a fly come in the window, i will try to get it to leave.. something about the thing making a mistake and me being the one to kill it for doing that, i just dont think i could live with myself dammit

yeah i make an exception for flies near windows, i'll just open the window. mostly because those fuckers are impossible to hit, though

When I go home for the summer I can’t stand the fly’s for the first week…I use a badminton racquet to dispatch...(y)…but after awhile you become accustomed...

Depends on the insect. Ladybugs are okay, so are fireflies a few others. I like them. Anything that sucks blood will be killed immediately, and I usually try to stay away from the angry stingy things.

Did anyone hear this shit about how PETA is getting upset for Obama swatting and killing a fly on national TV? They're saying even flies deserve protection.

...Obama swatting and killing a fly on national TV?

That was so fucking cool. I know his rep is declining in North America but over in europe we still love him.

Anyway, I don't kill them unless they are biting me there and then. The veggie/Buddhism in me stops me from killing them because I feel bad straight away so I always save them and let them go. Yes, I'm not a real man. But I'm not scared of them or anything (except for moths for some crazy reason) BUT, that might be different if I lived in a place with cockroaches because they freak me out.

(except for moths for some crazy reason) .

It's the dust that does it for me with moths if I try catch and release...

I just wanna say Ladybugs are wicked!...I love putting them on a plant that has aphids or spider mites and watching them devour them...(y)

I freely kill ants because they are too many of them. When I was in DC I killed house centipedes because those FREAK ME OUT. The way they move super fast and are all slivering like a snake in their movement and EW. EWEWEWEWEW. SMASH! Same goes for silverfish.

If I ever saw a roach I'd kill it.

Spiders are cool with me though. As long as they don't touch me, aren't near me in the shower, or near the bed before I go to sleep. If it's the latter two I'll catch them and toss em outside. If it's the first I'll smash them out of fear.

For the indoors anything flying or ants/waterbugs and their relatives are fair game. Spiders I'll help out of the house if I can catch them.

Outdoors....anything that bites deserves death

yeah, insects really make me act like a female. i actually squeal and whimper and i'm all "get it away! kill it!"

oh jesus that reminds me, at work today our trashcan somehow got infested with maggots due to a week old rotten banana. upon seeing a pile of those squirmy little fucks i went into instant shock and wanted to cry and vomit at the same time. i had to run outside and collect myself while the situation was dealt with :(
they're the absolute fucking worst

insects love me way more than i love them. i get bitten alive, and i do not mind killing the nasty fuckers that dare put their filthy legs on my body.

on the other hand, i don't like killing them if they're not doing anything to me, unless they're pests. i kill little ants inside the house with my fingers because they dont belong inside. i throw shoes at the crickets that live in my basement cause they're not supposed to live there. but i tend to open windows for flies and other flying bugs and i let the spiders be cause they eat other bugs.

i have gotten bit by spiders way too many times (and it hurts!), and technically i get scared like a little bitch if i see one near, but i control the impulse.

and finally, i dont kill bugs outside cause that's their home, not mine. and they're good for something out there.

a few weeks ago some huge ass june bug got into my hair, i ran to my sister and she started screaming too

it took us like a half hour to get from the balcony right indoors or atleast it felt that long

in panic i crashed against the walls, was quite some bruisy slalom and almost hit the drinks off the table

i promised not to tell that to anyone, so you know nothing

most hectic flying insects freak me out but i would feel bad killing them so i dont

live and let live
