I just want to say, and perhaps hijack this thread, and say that the remixes that a few fans have posted here weeks ago are way better than what they debuted on that Zane Lowe show.

It's awful, but it's true.

rarely do i disagree with kp, but i think bbitc is a great track. the rhymes are on par with what's to be expected as of late (last 10 years). nevertheless, the track trumps 99% of what was on tt5b.

That's cool. I kind of expect the track to make sense in the context of the album. Which is 3 months away.

i think i'd be a little less frightened of BBITC if it weren't the second track on the album. usually the 1st two cuts on a record are among it's strongest. songs positioned to coerce listeners into the album. if BBITC is a feature, then it may get bumpy.
but hey it's the bboys, they follow no patterns, and they've yet to completely let me down with a full-length record so, I sure can't wait to see what the Pep Boys have in store for us this time around. (y)

good point...i forgot to add that although its a nice track...it's not strong enough to be a single.

I think I'm guilty of pinning too many hopes on it. If I had a bottle of Shiraz in me and a South African drugs reefer style spliff doobie on hand I'd really enjoy it.

Lee Majors is sitting up the arse end, and Hello Nasty as loved as it is really kind of dragged at the end. Same with TT5B, and The Mix Up starts out stronger than it ends. Maybe shit's Tantric.
EDIT: I said somewhere else that B-Boys in the Cut should change. It shouldn't. That was retarded. I just don't get it, is all.
The weird theme of the cover and these very unique 3 songs has me pretty excited about the album, and I'm willing to trust that all will be well, and as cj said indeed be the best album since Hello Nasty.

I'm fairly confident this record will be the best since Hello Nasty, merely for the fact that it's a return to the 90's Beastie Boy album format. If there were any 'one' general "type" of album you could pin on their career, it's the gourmet style grab-bag album. A lil' bit 'o' everything under the sun, and it's share of new flavours and surprises.
And in reality, I don't think any beastie head can deny that the sheer diversity of beastie boys albums are a strong proprietor of how they came to love the this group in the first place.
At best, it's yet another classic piece, and a hypothetical return to form.
At worst, it's a valid effort to satisfy the urges of their versatile influences and an enthusiastic nod to their heyday of genre-bending experimentation.

Somewhere in the middle there are adjectives, too.
