Do you ever see someone and say "How are you?" just as they say it and then you both go quiet and then answer "I'm good" at the sametime which makes it even more ackward and you kinda smile and walk away because you are both too much on the same track? Know what I mean? Its weird.

i say "all right" instead of how are you which covers both asking them how they are doin and answering their how are you at the same time.

I greet customers with "hello" and sometimes they say, "hey, how ya doin?" and I used to say, "fine thanks, how're you?" but hardly anyone ever responds with anything. so I started only saying "fine thanks", but then some people will go ahead and say, "I'm good, thanks" when I haven't even asked. :confused:

I like to confuse people by answering "Nothing Much" when they ask "How's It Going?"
