Hey all,

If you would like to send Adam a card, you can use the following address. Make sure you include the full address (you must include BEASTIE BOYS in the address so it gets through to him).

Adam Yauch
BEASTIE BOYS
7095 Hollywood Blvd.
# 1190
Hollywood, CA 90028

thanks. do you think a collage of video testimonials would be a bit much? like if we organized it here through the board? what do the admins and other members think?

Great idea Jeremy. I was also thinking... what about collective donations to someplace working tirelessly on eradicating cancer from the face of the earth.

that's the thing, cancer in the lymph nodes leads me to think of lymphoma, and lymphoma/leukemia are nothing to mess around with. My girlfriend lost her father to a nasty battle with lymphoma, but it had spread to every lymph node in his body and in his blood stream...

Early detection is the most important step, and it sounds like MCA has really caught this at the right time...

I would donate to the Adam Yauch Foundation to Eradicate Salivary Gland Cancer Now!

I will gladly return the favor, they did afterall dedicate Gratitude at VirginFest 2007 to my dog that died of lymph node cancer. So this hit me pretty hard about Yauch...cj hood is right, these guys are like family.

stand up to cancer.org?

Yeah, my grandfather died from leukemia last year (I found out Heath Ledger died while on the way to the funeral home). But he was already dying before he developed cancer. Still spreading to the lymph nodes is scary, even if the prognosis is good.

Also, if anyone here knows anybody doing the Race for the Cure thing, they have these paper lantern things called luminaries and you can dedicate them in memory of someone who's died, or in honor of someone who is fighting cancer or has fought it in the past. If it's possible for anyone, it would be a cool thing to do for Yauch. I'm gonna give some money to a friend that will be doing it, and if she can get a pic for me I'll post it on the forum. (y)

If a man who has done so much for many others isn't ammune let this be a wake up call. Adam is strong to the core and I wish him a lightning fast cross-over like recovery.

Really appreciate this info, Minton - I think many of us wanted to do a little something to offer our support, but didn't really know what. Or how. Thanks.

how ironic that I will prolly put it in a mailbox in NYC, it will go to LA and then i guess somehow get back to him in NYC again. Kind of wish that i could eliminate that trip out west.

Hey minton,

I was wondering, instead of sending a card, is there a place where we can donate some money in Yauch's name for cancer research, maybe with an e-card or something.

I think it would be great to turn this into a fundraising platform, I know Yauch loves to give back.

Get well soon Yauch!

Ya'll could donate to this cancer fundraiser I'm taking part in... it's up in Canada, but I'm sure if the Canadians find a cure for Cancer it will be shared with the world.

The fundraiser is called the Underwear Affair - we are walking/running in our panties to raise money for cancer research/awareness. Primarily concentrating on cancers below the waist.. but the entire cancer community will benefit (y)
