I've been listening to the boys a lot lately and as result of the recent news I find myself realizing how lucky we are. We have a band that a lot of us have loved since we were kids still making great music.
A few days ago, I was reading some criticisms of some of the ryhmes on TMR, and am now just hoping those people have stopped looking for perfection and are appreciating what we got. I sure know I do :)
Get well Adam.

Makes you realize you can't take anything for granted.
Just last night I bought some videos I hadn't before on iTunes
(So What'cha Want/Pass the Mic) and Ricky's Theme
I have it on the anthology dvd but it wasn't on my ipod
Not really, but I still tend to buy all of their albums. Not download, but buy.

Agreed. A lot of us here on these boards have been fans of the boys for the better part of 20 years and I'm sure some have been fans even longer.
When you think of all the crap that many consider music out these days it really does make you appreciate any band that can still turn out great music and get their fans excited. Also, even the ways that the guys get us excited for new releases as well, they could easily just release the remasters and all but no, how cool is it that we get emails from them and website changes for each remaster release? The boys really go out of their way to satisfy us and it's really nice to see that most of us if not all of us ''see'' the picture and only want for Yauch to get better first than release the new album and get back on the road. Hitting up these boards everyday is almost like a daily family reunion, thanks guys.
Be well Yauch.

Yep. Hopefully the guys will still be making music for many years to come, but let's not take them for granted. For people bitching about how they like the old stuff better than the new stuff, how about you just be grateful that they're still around, performing and making music? Because one day, we might look back on these times and wish that we could hear one more album, one more song. I always think of the end of AIFST and the guy wearing the RUN-DMC shirt. Appreciate these times, because it isn't always going to be this way.
