View Full Version : When did the 90s become the new 80s?
Just been for a few drinks with an old friend in town and the nightclub which used to "boast" a bar called Reflex which specialised in 80s stylings has been replaced with a new outfit which proclaimed on the outside "never forget the 90s".
At 23 I shouldn't feel so old. When they open a 60s revival club I'll get excited.

I suppose if you drank there all the time with all those 90's choons it would be impossible to forget the 90's.(y)

It's a timeline thing. The 2000's will become the new 90's which is now the new 80's in about 2019. When the youth of that era become our age right now in the late 2010's they look back and be all 'wow, this takes me back to when I was a kid'. And unfortunately we'll be in our mid 30s and not allowed out anymore.

I have stuff piled up that I've been meaning to get around to doing since the 90's.

i have days when i get dressed and i think "my high school self wouldve totally rocked this! (if i had had the balls to wear it when i was shy and body conscious.)"
anyways, i like 90's style, in particular, mid 90's, before showing off hipbones became the norm, when your pants went to your belly button and you wore a cropped top if you had a nice belly. also, big shoes <3
today, actually, im wearing a skirt i bought at express in 1998. black. mini. with my denim jacket from the gap, circa 1997. these items have stayed in my closet.
