Anyone here ever suffer from a heat rash?
I can't tell what triggered an incident I went through yesterday, but I did ingest a bag of almonds and I went out to my car, which was parked in the sweltering heat. I drove into an underground parking lot and was absolutely stifled by the temperature, and my car's AC couldn't even keep up.
after I got my lunch I went back to the office, where my coworkers told me I was red all over the face and as well as the creases in my elbows and all over the front and back of my hands. I was uncomfortable all over and had patches of hives in different areas.
My chest tightened up and I was wheezing and had minor difficulty breathing. a coworker gave me a puff of his Ventolin Inhaler and told me to go to Urgent Care. When I told Urgent Care I couldn't breathe, they were trying to put me in an ambulance to take me to ER which was a block away.
Long Story Short- I refused the ambulance and took myself to the ER, essentially paying $100 for a shot of Benadryl in my arm. But I would have waited for hours and the rash probably would have gone away. the inhaler helped tremendously. The doc prescribed me a brand new inhaler...
So I ask you, Heat Rash or Allergic Reaction to the almonds??
