can you tell this british man ,in very simple terms, what a perfect game in baseball is? a home run every inning is the only guess i can make

A perfect game is when the pitcher of a team does not allow a single batter to reach base. 27 batters...27 straight outs.

that's a very impressive feat but it sounds incredibly boring to watch. i mean i guess there's tension towards the end where it's like "is someone going to make a play this time...no! they didn't! again! this rules!"

No hits, no walks, no hit batters, no errors by his teammates playing the field. Nothing...Perfect.

There's only been like 17 perfect games, ever.
It's extremely rare.
I've been a baseball fan my entire life and have never seen one.


Congrats to Buehrle and the White Sox fans.

The centerfielder Dwayne Wise jumped up and caught a ball that was over the fence in the 9th inning to keep the perfect game intact.

Buehrle is a really great guy, too. He totally deserves this. And crazy props to DeWayne Wise. That catch was fucking amazing. Fuck. So pumped right now.

Let's also say congrats to my fantasy baseball team even though he's typically not a scoring dynamo but I needed a pitcher and he was available.
