OK, So I saw Green Day at the Garden this past tuesday night, now, for as much as I enjoyed the show, I wanted to know if anyone else feels like me.

Have you ever grown to dislike what a band has become and almost feel guilty that you still dig them? Like, the show was great and Billie Joe looked like Freddy Mercury up there with all his energy, but it just seems hypocritical to me that Green Day is up on stage with an upside down american flag with tire tracks on it singing American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown songs, yet they have no problem making money off the same country they criticize in their songs ( I know, you can start bashing me now, I'm getting older what can I tell you? ), and this is coming from a fan of theirs, it's almost like the Rage Against the Machine thing, does anyone else really dig a band but when you listen to the truth of their records it kind of makes you open your eyes yet annoys you at the same time but you still can't help but listen, I don't think I'm making any sense am I?, Just curious how others felt or if anyone else was at the show...

You make sense, but it is the American way. Bands can hide the truth all they want. In the end, it's all about the money.
