well i'm turning 16 on tha 17th and i'm getting my license and shit, so i have to change and not screw up. which sucks, cause i don't want to change. which i guess is bad? i know i need to change, but i don't want to.

from 16 and that point on, the more you don't want to change, the more you see yourself changing.

Almost 20 years ago I used to french roll my pants. haha. Thank god I changed.

dude, your mom is just worried about you, no one wants their daughter to be a lazy pothead or be influenced by them. even though you might not realize it now, teenagers are so easily influenced by the people around them. shit, most people are, but after a certain point, a person learns to design their limits.

do something for yourself. set a goal, something that you think would make you and your family really proud. maybe it's improving your GPA. maybe it's volunteering somewhere. something healthy. and then work hard at doing that. if you still hang out with loser friends, it wont matter so much if you can show that you don't let them influence you, that you have a strong sense of self. that's basically all your mom is trying to get you to understand, that you need to figure out who you are without the influence of other people.

being a teenager is indeed hard. but everyone has to go through it. it's going to be a loooong time before you come anywhere close to figuring stuff out. for now, just be smart, listen to your mom and respect and stay close to her as much as you can, see when your friends are making bad choices and know when to walk away from people that drag you down, do well in school, don't do a whole bunch of drugs and boozin', and be smart about sex. and don't take nude photos.

Why is this such a popular thing for teenagers to do right now? Is it just because they can? Does it make them feel edgy in the same way that drugs and alcohol do? I don't get it at all, it seems like such a risky thing to do which has really awful consequences but it's in the news all the freaking time!

actually i think it may have been several polaroids

anyway i threw them out pretty much immediately because it was a weird and gross thing to do

however, because of the way in which i threw them out, they got pressed up against the side of the garbage bag, and any pedophile garbageman that might have been paying attention would have been able to take possession of several pictures of my illegal boner

basically what i'm saying is that if you take digital pictures of your naked illegal body then you're an idiot because ain't no way that's getting disposed of in a trash compactor

yeah, I was going to add that I saw a couple of boner polaroids in high school too, but my cursor was being a bitch.

I think it's pretty common for young people to be curious about their bodies...and to want to take pictures of them for some reason.

I was once asked to be in a "club" when I was a kid and used to go to daycare at the YMCA, where to be a member, you had to go in the bathroom and show everyone your bathing suit parts. I went in to join, but when it came time for me to show myself, I chickened out and then a bunch of other kids chickened out and we decided to cancel the "club". ha.

I enjoyed those years a lot... But it's wize what they say... and there's something that my brother taught me and I never forgot.. If you're in a strange situation where you are obliged to give an answer and you doubt say no.
You always have time to think twice and take it back, but saying yes it's a one way trip, to anything... If you doubt it's because something in you thinks that something is not appropriate enough for you...:)
