Yohh all,

since i want to get rid of those old analog tape and have it all digital on my harddisc, i just found an old VHS-tape with a TV broadcast of the Beastie Boys live in concert at Loreley Germany 1998.

You can find it here and i hope you like it as much as I do, so keep seeding: http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/2021451/

(i hope its okay to post torrent-links here?!)

Details:
The raw MPEG2 video file was grabbed from an old VHS-tape: sound is great (stereo) but the video quality has some noise. This is the original recording from June 20th 1998: song 16 - 29 was broadcasted live on TV, after that they re-broadcasted the beginning of the concert, that is the reason why the playlist is some kind of mixed up.

Amazing live gig including instruments!!!

There are a lot of flubs in this show, but Big Shot, Sure Shot,Egg Man and New Style are particularly strong. And they use that Red Clay beat for Pass the Mic. And the other hardcore tracks sound studio good. I have this on CD, bought it at Camden markets, along with an Enry of green.

Is the the beat that someone thought was Tribe - Sucka Nigga ? That performance of Pass The Mix pretty much got me into the Beasties.

This audio need to be uploaded somewhere (y)

@ martijn, camo: check your PM please, invintation code for demonoid is in the house

@ dfmoss: no, i don´t want to upload to that services, i also sended you an invite for demonoid instead, check your PM.

@ Kid Presentable: my definite highlites of the show are "Pass the mic", "Alright hear this", "Ricky´s theme" and the crowd singing spontaneously "Ali Baba & the 40 thieves", i think the B-Boys liked that part.

The video has not the greatest quality (MPEG2 with 720 x 576 pixel, PAL, stereo audio) cause the original magentic VHS tape lost some quality in the last 11 years, but i guess you will love it anyways. Best mediaplayer for this to watch is: VLC (videolan.org).

I will be flying out for 1 week tomorrow but i´ll leave my computer online to seed that video (hope that fucking windows machine and my plane won´t crash). Keep seeding folks!

YES, you got that right, absolute dope this version.

i think you refer to this thread: http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=91916

I wished they would have played that dope bass-line live during the Gala Event tour.

You can tell Mixmaster was quite new, they were umming and ahhing about letting the beat ride for the crowd. Yauch told him to give them a beat.

I am getting the dvd torrent now, will update later.

Anyone have the black & white concert they did in the round that was shown on MTV? I had that one on VHS but it's gone.

You can find clips of the show on YouTube, but I would love to have the thing in better quality. I think someone had it on the hub on DVD, but they would never stay on long enough for me to grab it from them...

Omg thanks bro youve made my month. Havent had the chance to see the beasties live yet but If I did I'd want them to play a setlist similiar to these Hello Nasty ones, theyre huge, career spanning and random in that Beastie way we all know and love. Plus the TT5B (judging by awesome) setlists seemed a little too concise.

Finally finished the download of the movie. Its a 4.2 gig mpg. I converted it to DVD and am watching it now. The quality is vhs... I will encode it to a xvid avi file and try and figure out how to reseed it on tpb.

Its a great show though, Mix Master Mike is so new to the group, he still has a tiny necklace that says mixmastermike not the huge bling-bling he has now. He's also a lot skinnier than he is now. The boys look like they are having fun. Thanks for upping it!

Found it myself on Dime.

It's the Glasgow show from 1999. The quality of the DVD isn't that great (wish I still had my VHS, I could probably do a better rip), but the show is frackin' ricockulous. It's proshot, I don't know why they never released it. Sigh.

my neighbor growing up had this show on cd. used to listen to it in high school on tape in my rad station wagon. we all called it "the germany tape." actuall a couple of us were just talking about that show and the 1992 randy's rodeo, NJ one and how entertaining they are. "and you ain't seen niggity-nothin yet..."

Working on it Laurie- The video is out of sequence, it starts in the middle, ends, then the beginning starts (and stops in the middle) ((If that makes any sense)). So I tried to start at the beginning make a part A and then part B into an Xvid AVI but when it converted it, the audio was slightly off from the video. So it sucked.

I will figure it out soon and up it, scouts honor. -Skrilz

I am not mad, I could tell it was edited to be like that. Its a great find. I bought this once on VHS bootleg, the quality was so many generations of copiedness, that I had to return it. Totally Unwatchable. I know there is a pro-shot floating around from 1992. I think its from the New Jersey gig, someone has to have it...

See I still firmly believe the whole show is out there somewhere, as the whole thing was recorded. I don't know if it is an official dvd or such but it must exist seeing as MTV have the whole show recorded which they edited down for TV broadcast.:(

Actually I hadn't seen this one!
I saw them at several festivals in Europe on this tour, all except France were great. In Nancy the audience there totally sucked, boys didn't play an encore, actually they didn't even play Intergalactic which had just come out!!!
I wrote the setlists on my arm when they were playing, in France they played 20 or so tracks, in Norway 33!!! (Mike D wanted to have a battle between Mikes and Adams :D )
