One of the funkiest instrumentals they have put out:
It's from "In-Sound-From-Way-Out"
Son of a Neckbone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyQi_Mf7wjY
Honorable mention goes to Honky-Rink and Drinkin' Wine.

A friend and I used that in a skate video around 1997. I love Honky Rink.

Others include:
Benny and the Jets
County Delight (Country Mike)

Agreeed!
Son of Neckbone is not only a favorite obscure beastie jam- its in the running for favorite beastie jam period for me. (Its my ringtone!).
"I don't know" also could win the favorite least beastie beastie song (and also an overall favorite).
So many styles...
good thread!

Honky Rink, hands down.
Hockey (well...skating) and Beastie Boys, two of my favorites in one song.
Doesn't get much better than that! (y)
Son of Neckbone and Biscuits and Butter are up there, too.

Say what? Not sure what song that is...
I do love Desperado and wish I had a better copy, Scenario is dope, and all the extras from Ill Communication are sick (dope lil song, Resolution time, The vibes) Gotta think of more, but it sounds like every one is down with Son of a neckbone. Too bad back in the day, you actually had to buy the singles to get the b-sides...

Biscuits and Butter is a bonus track from the TMU. It's good.
Cop it. (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J5FHH0AH)

I don't know is a great song, but then again, Hello Nasty is my favorite album.
Biscuits and Butter is a bonus track from the TMU. It's good.
Cop it.
Or you could just go to Amazon.com and buy it for 99 cents. There is actually a Mix-Up bonus EP with six songs and Biscuits and Butter is on it.

OK OK! Hail Sagan?! I would have to say this is my least favorite BB song. Could you explain why you like it? Do you like the odd, silent beginning? Or do you like the weird noises in the 2nd half? Ha ha.

"Dope Little Song" is the best non-album track the Beasties ever did, but I find myself singin the lyrics to "Boomin Granny" more often....
As for the best track that any of the Beasties was ever involved in, that would be "Spam" with Adrock and Milk (from Audio Two). UNBEATABLE.
'Beastie Groove' or 'Boomin' Granny' and then maybe 'and then I'

Don't forget Mike D played drums on Spam, which is indeed one of the best obscure joints.
Speaking of guest appearances, 4 Fly Guys and Squat are up there too.

I don't know... It's just a fun little joint. I would never think it should be an album track but I think it's great as a B-side. :D

'son of neckbone' is a bona-fide heater, no 2 ways around it. epic.
'peanut butter and jelly' does things for me...magnificent things.
'biscuits and butter' is on some creepy, funk mischief. I can think of a song or two I wouldn't have minded seeing it replace on TMU final cut.

Yeah, Live Wire- just listened to that for the first time in a while today- its hot to death!
;)
20 Questions is also fantastic I realized which for me with maybe opens up the bigger question which was the greatest b-side era HN or IC - for me its between those two but the HN b-sides are coming hard with both quality and quantity.
my thoughts...

Yeah I forgot about Boomin' Granny which makes everyone happy, and also Scenario from Original Ill. The bass on those songs are crazy!
