"We rag-tag girlies back at the hotel
And then we all switch places when I ring the bell"

this line from The New Style may be a homage to the Beatles or just a conincidence. I read a biography of Paul McCartney when I was 13 and he stated that when The Beatles were known as The Silver Beetles and only playing clubs in and around the Liverpool area they frequently took groups of ladies back to a hotel. They would then switch partners after one of them would ring a bell. The book is called Blackbird, but everyone knows Paul is the worst Beatle. I was 13 so give me a break.

no worries. (y)

it's really a shame how paul catches the 'corny balladeer beatle' rap by many. in reality, he was the most talented multi-instrumentalist of the group and arguably the hardest-working, like first to the studio every day and the last to leave type work ethic. the more I read/learn about the group, the more it seems apparent that paul was the fuckin' man.

oh well, enough ranting for one night. :o

There's definitely something wrong with a message board community when someone thinks they need to apologize in advance for discussing Paul McCartney.
