gas attack upon them.

Seriously though I was making my own habanero hot sauce without gloves and goggles (which you need) and the toxins in the air produced by these angiosperms were practically lethal -- everyone was choking even though they had not eaten any.

My hot sauce recipe used carrots, vinegar and finely chopped habaneros boiled on the stove. It was delicious but dangerous -- must be respected during the prep and cooking process though. Next time I will use gloves and goggles. More on habaneros below:

I love habaneros. Try these poppers if you dare.

Mix:
a block of softened cream cheese, 8 oz I think
1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3 green onions thinly chopped
salt and pepper

Halve habaneros and cut out the seeds and veins(please wear gloves)

Stuff the peppers with the mixture

Wrap the stuffed peppers with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Cook at 350 for about 20 mins or til the bacon crisps a bit. Grilling them works great as well.

If you can stand the heat the taste is excellent. Works great for jalapenos as well.
