Okay, this is bullshit: MTV Hits is showing all of the past winners of the Best Hip-Hop Award. The Beasties won it in 1999 for "Intergalactic". But guess who they play when they get to 1999? JAY-Z, JA-RULE AND AMIR'S "CAN I GET A..."! ...The fuck!? I double checked Beastiemania, and yup, it says that the Beastie Boys won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Video for "Intergalactic" back in 1999 (in fact, that was where that incident took place when Diana Ross fondled Lil' Kim's boob. The two of them (and Mary J. Blige) were presenting the Best Hip-Hop Award. Oh, and that was where Adrock made his speech condemning the groping and rapes that happened at Woodstock 1999 and asked concert promoters and organizers to watch over women at concerts in the future.). So, MTV completely rewrote history for some reason! I expected to see the "Intergalactic" music video grace my TV screen again, and instead I get Jay-Z's mug!

What's the matter, MTV? The Beastie Boys not considered hip-hop to you anymore? Why you gotta be erasing the Beastie Boys' VMA win? You didn't do it with anyone else. Erase Lil' Wayne's win, not the B-Boys! Don't decide to do some revisionist history with the Beastie Boys! Ugh. Fucking MTV.
