Generally it is black people of West African descent who are good at sprinting. Put an East African in the starting blocks and they will not go very fast, but they will run for a long time. Eg Kenyans.

As the slave trade was focussed on the West African coast West Indians and Afroamericans are generally descended from West Africans. Thus Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay are good sprinter whilst Wilson Kipketer is a good distance runner.

Hopefully you can now see the issue isn't simply black people against white people, but West Africans against everybody else.

i felt the joke lacked to be honest with you rirv. granted black people for the most arent good at those 3 things. however there are those 3 who are. however there are 0 super fast white people. :confused:

It's all to do with the greater preponderance of fast twitch muscle fibre in black people compared to white people who are more of a slow twitch kinda folk.

Of course there are exceptions and this is all generalisation.

i think kenyans are exceptionally good at distance running because kenya is a high altitude country, and when you grow up running in high altitude, you have much more endurance than people who practice in low altitudes because of breathing and shit
