Russhies thread inspired this one.
How are you strangely connected to famous people?
Example.
I know a chick here in adelaide who is best friends with the singer Sia Furler. Sia wrote a few tracks for Christina Aguilera's new album.
So I'm 2 (or 3) degrees away from Christina Aguilera.
Also Sia is dating JD Samson, DJ from Le Tigre. Adrock's missus is from Le Tigre. So I'm 5 degrees away from Adrock.
I'm sure I have others which I will remember in time.
Now its your turn! GO!
Or don't. I don't give a fuck.

hmm, one of my friends went to high school with Katie Holmes.
ah, one of my friends dated Eric of Tim and Eric.

I've hung out with Harmar Superstar. He's from here and is friends with my friends. He's nice, but he's gross.
A former friend of mine is in the band thenewno2 with George Harrison's son. I always really liked him. We made out in his basement once when we were in high school. He's too famous to talk to me now.
John Hughes graduated from my high school. A bunch of the scenes in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Breakfast Club were filmed on my school's grounds.
I went to junior high and high school with Jim McMahon's daughter.
A friend of mine lived in London for a few months and dated the drummer from The Darkness.
I was on Jerry Springer as an audience member in like 2002. I sat in the front row and commented at the end of the show. lolz.

My aunt knows a bunch of famous musician people. One degree. Done. I never hit her up for anything though. That would have just been low class. I never met anybody. But my brother did get to meet KISS. He said they were boring.

Ferris Bueller and Breakfast club were filmed at my high school.
I went to high school with Jim McMahon's son (and prolly daughter). Didn't know him, but he was a year younger.

I went to junior high school with Patrick Stumpf, lead singer from Fallout Boy. Sat next to him in Spanish class. Not really a fan of his music, but he was a really nice kid.
My uncle used to be friends with Michael Jordan's wife, before she divorced MJ.
Ted Williams used to be my grandpa's doubles tennis partner.
I ate pizza dinner with a couple members of Styx at my parents' house.
My dad has owned a small recording studio in the chicagoland area for over 30 years, so there are many many degrees to cats in the music industry.

Yeah, I know. I've been on the DDD childhood bus tour. The Jewel is still there but the parking lot is all torn up. I used to work on Shermer right across the street from GNB. Had to keep an eye open for all those GBN kids speeding around in beamers and Range Rovers.
Were you there during the whole piss & shit fiasco?

Yeah I was done and gone the year of the expose, but stuff similar to that (although maybe not quite so extreme) had been going on every year for ages. I never participated. I wasn't one of the "cool girls."
I fucking hated high school.

Michael Bublé asked my wife out after they competed against each other at a talent show as teenagers. She declined. But he did win the contest.
My wife's also good friends with Reese Witherspoon's cousin.
My father-in-law was friends with Bryan Adam's manager. He's been to one of his recording sessions.
We were invited onto Sarah Brightman's tour bus for NACHOS.
I had a pleasant conversation with Xzibit after a show once, before he had a deal. He was cool, real down to earth. Later, he hit on my girlfriend at the time. It was all good.
A friend of mine lives across the street from Yoko Ono and Lauren Bacall.
I saw pre-meltdown Britney Spears outside of the TRL studios in Time Square.
I bagged Atlanta Hawks point guard Mike Bibby's groceries once, when he was a rookie. I helped him out to his car. He was cool. Tried to give me ten bucks. I refused it.
I also ate at one of Robert DeNiro's local restaurants. He wasn't there or anything. But still, he owned the place.
I've met some other famous people like Mike Myers, members of A Tribe Called Quest, both Gallaghers from Oasis, Method Man and Redman, Nelly Furtado, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Snoop Dogg, WWE Superstar Trish Stratus and some less notable people, but they weren't like conversations or like we hung out or anything.
I also got to see Jennifer Connelly running on the treadmill in the gym at my brother's building. I didn't stand there and watch for longer than 5 minutes or so, but that was big.

Skinny is referring to the Jewel/Osco at Plaza del Prado, at Willow & Pfingsten. DDD, I think you're thinking of the Jewel that used to be on Cherry Ln. but is now Sunset Foods. That Jewel was lengendary.
I think Stepan finally moved out of the school and moved up the road to the old GBC building.
I think you're thinking of New Trier high school in Northfield. Stepan was right behind it next to the highway and just recently moved further north up Skokie Blvd.

Crazy rich kids.
We CPS high schoolers just beat each up on our birthdays, piled into whoever had the most functional car and partied during school days.
I fucking loved high school.

Were you a child actor maybe on a famous show? The little brother in Mr. Belvedere? (Actually I know you're not him because I met him when I was in college).
Actually that reminds me, I slept with the guy who played the little brother in the Last Starfighter (when he was grown up, pervballs).
