I just seen some Marmite in my cupboard and remembered this thread and thought "why not, i'll try it for once". Its terrible.

I sometimes have Vegemite on my toast and pretend I'm back in Australia.I really miss the laid backness of life there.The UK must have the highest blood pressure count I imagine.

faz you only need a very sparing amount on each piece. and lots of butter.

Its ok, it was a late night snack.

I did put a large amount of it on, and no butter. I cant see me trying it again though tbh

marmite is yum. i did a very scientific test (a poll in the cooking section) and we are not alone in our enjoyment.

have you tried the marmite CHEESE yet? it is delicious! as are the marmite rice cakes. omg imagine marmite cheese in one of your weird staffordshire oatcake thingies. *drool*

in australia you can buy cheese and vegemite scrolls.. bread with the aforementioned.. mmmm.

faz - you need to put butter on too!

I have Marmite rice cakes. My ladyfriend brought them over. I was confused.

Take something strong, manly and powerful and use it to flavour something light, feminine and tastless...

Confusingly awesome snack!
