No way, it sounds like from what ZL said that that DJ uses that when he plays out and somehow Zane's got a copy and i'm not sure it was meant for massive broadcasts..yet.

agreed but never lose sight of the fact that sometimes we all post retarded shit on here

Remix?

You've got to be fucking joking right? It's exactly the same as the original but with a bit of dirty synth laid over the top. Would take about 5 minutes to make. (n)

I concur.

It's a really bad, half-assed attempt of a French Touch remix.

Leave the dirty slap bass sound to Justice.

Because remixes commonly appear as b-sides. Anyways, I said maybe, was just thinkin aloud. Take that bug out ya ass & go swear at someone else!

A-fucking-men. This "remix" is boring as shit. Seems lazy now that the acapella and instrumental are finally available. Just listened to it again to see if I still felt this way and yep, still a boring remix.

christ on a bike.

its a good stab at reqorking an absolute classic, i cant think of any other tune like sabotage really, its in a class of its own as far as i'm concerned and i think the lad has made a good stab at putting some new energy into it whilst keepin it as rockin as the original. I challenge any one of the music makers in this thread to do a better job.
that might bring something positive from all this whingeing

Yeah the majority of the people in this thread are apeshit for this remix and a few people just didn't care for it. I don't get why people that don't like these mixes get comments like "let's see you do better blah blah." I may or may not be able to do better but If I were a respected producer/DJ like Alex Metric I wouldn't even play that mix out. Now Freeland's mix of Smells Like Teen Spirit is how you do a proper rock-bootleg.

i only said you try and do better rodie because you were very critical , you make music yourself and you thought it was lazy. i think challenging you to do any better was a fair shout.
regardless of how much metric is a professional or how much you arent doesnt stop you from trying to do better if you think that was a poor attempt. if you dont have any ideas on how to remix sabotage then just say you dont like it, dont start calling him lazy.

Remix, overlay, mistake, intent, 5 min or 5 hours......who the fuck really cares if it sounds nice, and this whatever you want to call it is pretty damn awesome. Are you serious? I'm sure that horrendous Fatboy Slim BM remix took hours to create and this "dirty synth" shit sounds 1000x better than that, and it's already played more in two days than that other shit has played in eight years.

Thanks for the rip/upload!

It is an interesting club remix. Sure it's not too much of a stray from the original, but but I think that is a good thing. I've heard alot of club remixes over the past two decades and alot of them suck because the remixer didn't use enough of the original track to keep it interesting. I look forward to hearing this on the B96 Street Mix.

I can see where you wouldn't call it a remix, but ease up. There's more going on other than just a new layer of synth. shit sounds dope to me. (y)

that ain't no easy song to put a new spin on.

I use to live in Milwaukee. Some friends and I use to make monthly trips to Chicago on Friday and Saturday nights to record B96. Nothing compared to the Street Mix in the 90's. I live in Denver now, but I can still listen to B96 on the internet. The sound quality is great and I can still add to my mix collection (http://destructo.yt1300.com/).

I'm sure this remix will get some play by one of the DJ's.

It's all good, I was probably overly critical as well. I just get frustrated with so many good remixers out there not getting their due and this one gets radio play and it isn't all that it could have been. Admittedly Sabotage would be a hard song to remix which is why I'm not going anywhere near it. :D

damn right, i thought after i made my " you do better" statement that i should back it up with an attempt and then after a couple of hours of trying stuff, just thought "this is too hard"!
