So my digital camera just died and I'm looking for a replacement & with a better spec than before.
My budget is £150 - £250 (preferrably no more then £200) and the ideally I'd like:
9MP or higher
7x optical zoom or higher
Something I can point and shoot with but a manual mode so I can try and learn how to take proper picsMy previous camera was a fairly basic point and shoot so I really could do with some advice on what features to look for and any particular cameras to avoid. Am I asking a bit much to get what I want for my budget?
I've looked at the Panasonic TZ range although I don't know if they are decent camera's. Also the Ricoh R8 (?) seems ok.
Any advice greatly appreciated. I'm in the UK but I think a lot of models are the same worldwide - although we pay a lot more over here than the US for example.
I was going to post this in the Photography thread in sure-shots but though it would just get lost amongst a bunch of photo's.
Thanks
