Lockerbie bomber gets heroes welcome

I am disgusted that someone who has been convicted of murdering 270 people can be welcomed home as a hero, let alone be released from prison on compassionate grounds in the first place. What compassion did he show for the people he killed and their families?

I'm surpised people were thinking he wouldn't be welcome back as a hero? A few thousand people though? Does that represent the country of Libia as a whole or just the wackos, that every country as?

The Libyan government could have easily kept the details of his arrival secret but obviously decided not too - or it was leaked.
