is just a regular man who flirts with hipster girls in leggings and plaid shirts and short bangs.

I wanted to buy a pin at the merch table and I saw him talking normal and flirting and I wanted to spew. it ruined the whole thing for me. I couldn't even talk to him. I had to leave. I made my friend get a pin for me (ha, well, they were neat).

shattered illusions=(n) I knew he wasn't actually an old gross guy, but I thought he'd at least keep up the character at the merch table. boo, hiss.

oh well, he was still pretty funny. and even funnier still were the chicks next to me who didn't know what they were getting into and were completely offended and upset the whole time. and when he asked who were the born again christians in the audience, one of them raised her arms and said, "praise jesus, hallelujah!" with all sincerity. I snickered, but then felt bad. but then not bad because this guy who brought them there kept apologizing and they were having a loud conversation about it right next to me in a very annoying manner.

anyway, I have no idea what this thread is about.

I'm seeing him Sunday. Shouldn't have opened this thread. :(

I'll just wear jeans and stay away from the merch table, I guess.

ha! sorry dude. :(

I do recommend staying away from the merch table. I acted like a weirdo about it, it freaked me out big time in a way I didn't expect. buttt, maybe now that you know, it won't be as jarring if you happen upon the situation.

I never buy shit at shows anyways.

I'd kind of like my picture with him though. I'd love it if he flirted with me, but only in character.

I find it quite hard to come away from a gig without buying a T shirt but it has to be a good one.I've bought a few in the past and the next day after sobering thought "I'm never gonna fucking wear this piece of shit"

I've talked to Scottish comedian/magician Jerry Sadowitz after a show he did at the Melbourne Comedy festival in Aussie and he was totally nice compared to his stage act.

Also have had a few beers with Frank Sidebottom without his paper mache head after he did an art expo in London as I know his girlfriend.

The funniest stage persona/real life thing was when I saw this band once and the lead singer was jumping about all over the place being all scary and menacing to the audience and then afterwards he came to the bar and was the poshest most polite mummy's boy you could ever meet.I forget his name or the band

Cosmo and I saw him do a show in a cat hotel. It smelled like cat piss, but was worth it to watch little kitty eyes peering up at him BUT THAAAT'S MY LIFE

A friend designed his posters at the show here so I was gonna go with him and do HangOuts and NeilHamburgerMeets but I did LongCampTrips and LateGetHomes so I am doing HomeHangOuts instead.

Plus its with bands which is stupid. I want to see him at a casino with confused old ladies...not some venue chock full of douchey hipster kids.

My friends fucking punked out on me tonight at the last minute, so I guess I won't be seeing Neil Hamburger after all. Pissed. (n)

JP Inc. was pretty funny, but you probably wouldn't want to see it twice.
it's like watching youtube videos live.

That looks like a half ass version of what Tim and Eric live was like, minus the DJ DouggPound.

yeah, it was totally tim and ericy. also, like fake SNL commercials.

pretty obvious stuff, but still pretty amusing. if only because I kept thinking about the guy actually thinking of the stuff all alone and making the graphics. seemed funnier and more pathetic at the same time.

soooo....

1). Opening act is sorta lukewarm/pathetic
2). Neil Hamburger at a venue surrounded by people who are "in" on it, greatly reducing the hilarity of his act.
3). He quickly breaks character once offstage

yup...dont feel like I missed much.
