I'm kind of doubting that he'll be reaching this caliber throughout Relapse 2, especially since I just read an interview with Alchemist talking about how there's only one or two songs on the album that are sans accent. But still, this was a nice reminder.

I actually liked at least 2/3 of Relapse. It took me a while to get into it, but it eventually kicked in.

Speaking of Alchemist. I read the similar article as well and he said that a longer version of 'Chemical Warfare' would make it on the album and looked what happened to that...

Merks is an understatement. A few listens through and his verse actually has sex with the bodies of the other verses. I like Ye's though, too.

not a bad song it would be better if someone else sang the course and if drake's verse was removed. i remember reading that lil wayne was begging eminem to do a song with him and eminem always declined so i guess eminem said fine and proceeded to make lil wayne seem like a toddler on this track.

I listened to the track with an open mind after reading the thread. Em's just kicking in now...thank god. The song is dull timo but he at least gives it some credibility. I've loved Em since I first heard him so even when he releases a sub par record I try and convince myself I like it. No need to try and convince myself with this though - he wipes the floor with the rest of them.

If it wasn't already made clear in my first couple of posts, I only really started the thread to highlight two things:

1) The most over-hyped rapper living, the rapper with the biggest ego ever, and the self proclaimed "best rapper alive" all clearly cannot hang with the most skilled rapper to ever touch the mic.

2) People who thought Em was slipping - myself included - should have their faith restored. Knowing he's still capable of shit like this, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually ends up back on top with Relapse 2.

Nobody needs to point out that the song itself is nothing special.
