well that is good news -- great LP :)
I want to listen to HN remastered edition on both vinyl and CD when they come out.

Has anyone dl'ed this? Mic-to-Mic says
A cursory listen reveals that some of the songs on the remastered edition have different lyrics and vocalizations than on the original album.
That'd be kind of lame if it were true.

How is it a mistake? Amazon says it early.
# Original Release Date: September 22, 2009
# Release Date: August 25, 2009
# Number of Discs: 2
# Label: Capitol
Please someone tell me where these different lyrics are though?

The different lyrics are from the biz grasshopper experiment not the remastered tracks.

Yeah, I get that. But, the bboys have put out some nice b-sides in the past. I was just hoping for at least one track that I would want to listen to again. Guess I just had my hopes up.

these b-sides are not epic like the check your head ones. I searched high and low for those CYH 12" singles back in the day, and trust me when I got boomin granny on wax it made my dick hard.
I dunno but I feel like b-s bsides is kinda a reason to just re-release and album that isnt even that old yet. I know capitol or the boys dont need the money. Release some old LTI or Submarine or White House tapes. And yes I know LTI is not owned by capitol.
How about release Desperado for 9.99. People would buy it.

Its weak that LTI isn't getting the reissue treatment like the others since (besides PB) it's really the only one that needs it.

Nah I'm really looking forward to these too, although I'm waiting until the disc comes out to listen to them properly. I've only listened to the previews once. Doesn't sound groundbreaking or anything but I think the second disc will make a nice companion to the first one.

Yes boomin granny makes me happy. Its just so random...
I found all the CYH 12" once at a used record store. I got OG So-Whatcha-Want, Jimmy James, Pass the Mic, and white label professor booty (complete with Drunken Elephant sticker). That was a great day, Although my Root Down EP blue vinyl makes me happy too, that came with a poster in it. Only colored vinyl I dont have is In Sound (gold) or Country Mike (red).

I was hoping that the majority of these B-sides/extra tracks would be Hello Nasty era rap/hip-hop songs along the lines of Body Movin, Unite, The Move etc... with 1 or 2 instrumental funk songs.
O well.:(:o:(

It is a kind of good-corny album. If Paul's Boutique is The Fonz, Hello Nasty is Richie Cunnigham in the moments where he gains Fonzies approval.

Yeah I was on a quest back then as well. I got that root down ep as well and I hung the poster on my wall like a kid would and now I don't know where it is. I got In sound (gold), hello nasty (orange), aglio e olio (clear) which makes me stoked.
I wonder if there is any picture vinyl out there

I like it, the B-sides are interesting, mostly talking. But the instrumentals are nice, Peanut Butter And Jelly is my favorite, Piano Jam is good too.

All the b-sides and decent intrumentals such as Peanut Butter and Jelly I already have, this was one of the reason why this release was bit of a letdown.

Shame, was hoping the release would be spread a bit, I've loved the commantarys so far and am really looking forward to this one, I don't know if I can take 42 tracks and a commentary all on the same day, It'll be like my head exploding with the massive volume of remixes available on the DVD anthology all over again, I spent days just hitting the audio button on my remote when that first came out..!!

i said i'd say more and didn't. teaching take its toll. here are my thoughts:
1) i like the skit that starts it out, "Description of a Strange Man" because it feels like fly-on-the-wall just hearing them be them without their personas.
2) i like in that skit that Yauch describes the man as having autism (a personal thing since i think i'm touched with it). i like that Horovitz cuts him off, Yauch pursues with sincerity and Horovitz brings back the levity with the joke "he's struggling." mike tries to jump in and Horovitz cuts him off (because i've noticed this pattern between those two.)
3) i like in that skit how/when the bit from the song comes in.
4) Horovitz's valley girl impression (because of a parent's suggestion to me recently about the importance of learning to act).
5) i LOVE Mike's agreement with Horovitz to move to another track, "Okay, bad boy." because of what it means about Horovitz's persona (or is it personality) and that the next track, "Dirt Dog", also seems to fit that appellation.
6) i like "Dirt Dog" a lot. reminds me of some prog-rock i used to listen to that i can't identify right now.
7) i LOVE the Colleone Webb remix of "Intergalactic" because of the happiness and smoothness. i think it's my favorite "official" remix of the song.
8) don't really care for "Dr. Lee Version Dub" despite having seen Lee Perry live a few weeks ago, having mad respect for him, being a Jamaican and the pride that comes with that around lee.
9) like how Horovitz spazzes out at the beginning of "Switched On". for me takes the line "i love it when you spazz out all alone" to a shown, not told level. the music that follows? eh.
10) never did like the Fatboy Slim remix of "Body Movin'"
11) like "Aunt Jacki Poom Poom Delicious" because my girl's name is Jacki. because her poom poom is delicious. the music is an okay addition to the rest of their spaced-out, jazzish shit.
12) LOURVE the Prunce remix of "Putting Shame In Your Game". love the high-frequence beep against the gravely bottom end sounds.
13) "Stink Bug" is another fine addition to the spacey shit.
14) love "Peanut Butter and Jelly" because i got it as a b-side on a "Ch-Check It Out" CD single during a particularly good trip to see my parents one year. plus lately a kid at school is wearing a shirt that depicts peanut butter and jelly coming together, my girl's mom is talking about how much she's getting back into eating peanut butter and jelly, etc. there's a personal phenomena surrounding it that might have to do with that syndrome where you hear things a lot that you've recently become aware of (whatever that thing's called) or synchronicity, or the fact that everyone at my school knows i'm a Beastie-head and may have picked it up from what i've said or their own listening. whatever, i like it!
15) "Piano Jam" ... whatever
16) love "Happy To Be In That Perfect Headspace" because of Yauch's vulnerable sound in delivering his lines. Horovitz's burp because of fly-on-wall. Mike's skat because it sounds like "goongoo" which is the name of a peas i eat with rice in a favorite Jamaican dish: Rice (goongoo) and Peas.
17) the next two are okay. okay.
18) i like the craziness in "20 Questions Version"
19) LOURVE Biz's alternate intro on "The Biz Grasshopper Experiment". it's also the first time i really thought about Yauch's experiments with soberness and the connection i can make with my own.
20) Hail Sagan is my fuckin' jam! if you don't get it: fuck you, you fuckin' fuck. i likey. it nicey.
21) it's really great to have the Kut Masta Kurt remix. i wasn't a nerd enough to get this before, so i like it now.
22) "Creepin'" is more different than anything else i've ever heard by them. it doesn't wow me, but it's a more different sound and that's an experience that this head likes.
23) "Learning Remote Control" what can i say. i love behind the scenes. i'm not gonna play it a million times in my life, but i like it for what it is. here's hoping we get studio footage/interview/experimenting footage from the studio a la Depeche Mode's bonus DVD disk with Sounds of the Universe. i love behind the scenes.
24) there's something so real, authentic, historic, etc. and such a great way to end the extras with Biz's "Oh My Goodness This Record's Incredible". i'm listening to it on repeat as i write this.
that is all.

I'm surprised that on that 2nd disc of so many bonus tracks and rarities (21 bonus tracks total!) they did not include Slow And Low (Mixmaster Mike Version). It was a bonus track only on the Japanese version of Hello Nasty back in 1998.
